We are thrilled to announce the opening of the Shishda Haws Rehabilitation and Fitness Center (SHRFC) at 650 Miluk Drive in Coos Bay, adjacent to the Ko-Kwel Wellness Center. Since January 12, 2025, the Coquille Indian Tribal Community has been getting acquainted with the new facility and state-of-the-art equipment. 

The Shishda Haws Fitness Center is open 7 days per week, 24 hours a day. 

If unsupervised, minors aged 13-17 years old who have restricted access will still be limited to 6 am – 10 pm.  

SHRFC showcases ample space for physical and massage therapies, a large fitness classroom; and a generous equipment area for cardio, exercise, weight equipment, infrared sauna, lockers rooms and shower are all part of the layout. There is plenty to do for youth and the young at heart including a bouldering wall, and covered multi-use sport court for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and four square.

  • Tribal citizens can sign up with their Tribal ID to receive a PDK badge for access.
  • Tribal citizens who are also CIT Employees should also provide their  Employee ID so their current PDK badge will be programmed to include SHRFC access.
  • CIT employees should provide their current ID Badge number to sign up
  • Kilkich residents will need to include an address that verifies they reside on Kilkich lands. 
  • Patients of the KWC who are American Indian/Alaskan Natives can sign up to use the facility beginning Monday, July 7, 2025.
    • Children aged 0-13 can use the facility when supervised by a parent or guardian. They need to be included on their parents User Agreement and will not be issued their own badge.
    • Minors 14-17 can use the facility unsupervised if a User Agreement is completed and signed by a parent or guardian. This will give minors access to SHRFC from 6 am -8 pm, 7 days a week and their own badge will be issued.

All users of SHRFC must complete the User Agreement and watch an orientation video before using the facility for the first time.

Meet our Professionals

Drew Anthony Collins, LMT

Anthony Collins, Licensed Massage Therapist

Preferring to go by his middle name, Anthony Collins, Licensed Massage Therapist, brings a rich background in education, coaching, and wellness to his therapeutic practice at KWC-Coos Bay. With a Master’s in Adult Education and massage training from IBS Massage School, Anthony has worked extensively with tribal communities, student-athletes, and adult learners. His specialties include deep tissue massage, mobility work, Muscle Energy Techniques, IASTM, cupping, and Thai-style massage—all aimed at helping patients move more freely and feel better. His trauma-informed approach blends science, compassion, and collaboration to support each patient’s unique wellness journey.

Anthony works in the Shishda Haws Rehabilitation and Fitness Center. Current KWC patients are welcome to schedule a session. Provider referral is not required for massage therapy.

Juliette Hyatt, PT

Juliette Hyatt, Physical TherapistJuliette Hyatt, Physical Therapist, is a seasoned physical therapist with over two decades of experience, specializing in pelvic health since 2008. Juliette has provided compassionate care for a wide range of pelvic health conditions, supported by a strong foundation in orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, and aquatic rehabilitation. She earned her degree from Daemen College in Buffalo, NY, and has served in both clinical and leadership roles throughout the local community. Juliette is focused on advancing pelvic health and helping patients restore comfort, function, and confidence in their daily lives.

Juliette works from the Shishda Haws Rehabilitation and Fitness Center as part of the KWC-Coos Bay medical team. KWC Provider referrals are required for physical therapy sessions.

Danielle Jensen, DPT

Danielle Jensen, Doctor of Physical TherapyDanielle Jensen, Doctor of Physical Therapy, has been providing compassionate, patient-centered care on the Oregon coast since 2006.

Danielle treats orthopedic conditions using the McKenzie Method and an eclectic mix of techniques from continuing education courses and also neurological conditions including stroke and Parkinson’s disease. Danielle specializes in vestibular conditions causing vertigo, dizziness and imbalance. Her practice emphasizes personalized evaluations and evidence-based treatments and she loves empowering patients to learn how to care for themselves.

With a doctorate from Eastern Washington University and a background in psychology from the University of Oregon, Danielle is happy to return to her hometown to help people live their best lives by regaining strength, balance, and confidence in their movement.

Danielle works in the Shishda Haws Rehabilitation and Fitness Center as part of the KWC-Coos Bay medical team. KWC Provider referrals are required for physical therapy sessions.

We offer a range of fitness services, including a bouldering wall, a spacious gym area equipped for full-body workouts, a multipurpose room that can be used for group fitness and health education classes, a covered multipurpose outdoor court (for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and more), an outdoor playground, and an outdoor natural walking path. 

New Access for KWC’s AI/AN Patients

Shishda Haws Rehabilitation & Fitness Center is open to American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) patients of the Ko-Kwel Wellness Center, providing daily access to the facility from 6 am to 8 pm. This includes access to the sauna room for those 18 years old and up.

Chair Exercise Classes

Join us Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 – 11 am in the Group Exercise Room for fun classes designed for Elders and Beginners. Instructors will lead the class demonstrating both standing and seated versions of warm-ups, flexibility, strength, and endurance exercises. Come dressed in comfortable clothing and remember to bring a water bottle. Please complete a waiver to participate in the class here.
