What is a DHAT?

Our clinic offers something that most Oregon patients have never seen: a dental health aide therapist. Commonly seen elsewhere in the world, DHATs provide provide another layer of oral health expertise. DHATs have an emphasis on prevention and the patient experience.

DHATs commonly offer oral exams, preventive dental services, simple restorations, stainless steel crowns, extractions and X-rays. By providing these routine but important services, our trained and qualified DHAT frees the dentist to serve patients in need of higher levels of oral health treatment.
