Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Ravuri specializes in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Providers. Dr. Ravuri is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) which is a distinction earned from colleagues who recognize accomplishments and achievements over and above the practice of medicine.
At the age of 17, Dr. Ravuri attended one of the most prestigious medical schools in India, Andhra Medical College, started in 1857 by the British. He pursued further training in Internal Medicine at Rush-Westlake Hospital in Chicago.
Dr. Ravuri is very committed and involved in the community. He loves the Oregon coast and considers it his home. His practice motto is “partnering with my patients in their pursuit of health, wellness and happiness.”
Physician Assistant
Daniel Carlson has provided primary medical care at Ko-Kwel Wellness Center since it opened in 2021. He’s a strong believer in preventive medicine and the healing power of good food and regular exercise.
He also advocates for regular wellness checks, especially for kids and adolescents, many of whom have had their mental and physical health negatively impacted by COVID.
He holds a Master of Science from Pacific University. Before becoming a physician assistant, he worked as an advanced emergency medical technician in Washington County, Ore. Before working in medicine, he graduated from the University of California at Davis with a degree in economics and worked in commercial banking.
He enjoys archery, photography and hiking.
Nurse Practitioner
Sandy Teeter, AGNP, received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health & Science University in Klamath Falls and went on to receive her master’s degree in nursing with Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. In 2019, Sandy achieved a Post Masters Certificate in Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) from Maryville University of Saint Louis. This designation allows Sandy to specialize in treating adults aged 18 years and older. Sandy is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has been in practice in Coos County since 2018. Sandy is married, has four children, and six grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, and home renovations.
Family Nurse Practitioner
Kim Kyllo-Martin has lived locally in Coos County for 35 years, raising her family in the community. When not at work she spends her free time attending her son’s sporting events and enjoying the outdoors.
Kim started her career in Pediatrics at Bay Area Hospital. She has acquired diverse professional experience throughout her career as a charge nurse in a Pediatric/Oncology Unit, working with medically fragile children, Rapid Evaluation Unit, various committees involved in developing Policy and an RN Case Manager.
Kim is looking forward to leveraging her diverse professional experience, especially in providing pediatric and geriatric care at KWC.
Physician Associate
Sean studied Health Promotion and Education while specializing in Emergency and Wilderness medicine during his time at the University of Utah. He then worked as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and Medical Assistant in Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and Burlington, Vermont prior to enrolling in PA school. He earned his Master’s in Physician Associate Studies from Midwestern University in Phoenix, Arizona.
Throughout his education and practice Sean has focused on the importance of preventative and lifestyle medicine, fostering the mind-body connection, and the healing power of nature.
In his free time, he enjoys studying ecology, rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, skiing, playing soccer, and spending time with his wife and dog.
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
A life-long member of the community, Ashley grew up in Myrtle Point. Leaving for college, Ashley returned to bring her expertise back to the Coos Bay community. Ashley completed her entire clinical rotation at KWC which provided her with mentorship from peer practitioner Jennifer Hope, PMHNP. Ashley has become familiar with the Clinic and the members we serve.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Ashley and her family enjoy gardening, camping, hiking, biking, and fishing. Ashley is a self-motivated adventurist with a hidden talent as a clarinetist. She looks forward to contributing to the mental health of her patients and creating relationships with the Tribal community.
Ashley manages mental health medication for patients and provides compassionate mental health services to children ages 4 and above. Ashley also offers TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatments for smoking cessation and major depressive disorder.
The Ko-Kwel Wellness Center offers free 24-hour call-in medical help lines for all tribal members and patients of the center’s Medical Clinic. (For medical emergencies, please phone 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room.)
