Emergency Financial Healthcare Assistance Program

(OSA Members Only)

Financial help for health-care emergencies is available to enrolled Coquille Tribal members living outside the service area. You must submit a written request that includes proof of the emergency, the physician’s diagnosis, and verification that all other available resources have been accessed.

This program is limited to $3,000 and can be accessed once every three years.

Emergency Financial Aid


Emergency financial help is available if you lack housing, heat, food or other life necessities.  Requests are reviewed by an appointed committee. Funds are limited to $1500 per household and can be accessed once every two years.

This program is available to Coquille Tribal members; non-Coquille parents of a Coquille Tribal member; and foster parents or other guardians of a Coquille Tribal member.

Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA)

The Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) is a federal law that protects American Indian and Alaska Native children, families and Tribes from unnecessary child removal and displacement. The Oregon Indian Child Welfare Act (ORICWA) ensures the federal law is applied consistently within Oregon’s systems.
