PRC Nurse Case Management

PRC Nurse Case Management is available to enrolled PRC Coquille Tribal members and spouses living inside the Tribe’s five-county service area (Coos, Curry, Jackson, Douglas and Lane). PRC Nurse Case Management is here to assist PRC members needing help with managing long-term and/or short-term health conditions.

  • Help navigate the health care system.
  • Ensure coordination of care, transition of care, and advocacy within the health care system.
  • Referral follow up.
  • Assist with managing appointments.
  • Work’s closely with PRC and providers to provide best outcomes and access to healthcare benefits.

Meet Our Nurse Case Managers

Kristy Petrie

RN, BSN, FAACM

Kristy Petrie is an Alaskan Native American enrolled member of Chugach. She is a Tribal Spouse of Mark Petrie, from The Confederated Tribe of Coos Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians. Kristy is a mother of two and likes to say she “won the kid lottery. One girl and one boy.” Kristy started working for the Coquille Indian Tribe as a Nurse Case Manager on March of 2022. She values family and Tribal Community.

Kristy has worked in the health care field since 2011. Her health care journey began as a Certified Nursing assistant 2 for 6 years at Bay Area Hospital before completing and working as a registered nurse in the summer of 2017. She graduated with her Bachelor of Nursing from Oregon Health and Science University with honors, Sigma Theta Tau in 2019. On June 2024 Kristy completed high level credentialing through The American Academy of Case Management and received her Fellow in the American Academy of Case Management (FAACM). Kristy seeks opportunities for professional development while contributing to the betterment of the community.

Ashley Scott

RN

Ashley Scott (maiden name Hillmick) is a mother of four Coquille Tribal members. She grew up in Glide, Oregon, and relocated to Coos Bay in 2007 to raise her family. In 2016, she graduated from Southwestern Oregon Community College with a degree in Nursing, and continued her education through Oregon Health & Science University and Eastern Oregon University. Ashley joined Bay Area Hospital Home Health Agency in 2018 as a Clinical Case Manager, and was promoted to the department manager until the Agency closure in 2023.

Joining the KWC Community Services team in 2024 as a PRC Case Manager, Ashley is passionate about providing holistic Case Management care and support in line with Tribal values. She enjoys being able to give back to the community and family that her children are a part of.
